To obtain a silver halide photographic sensitive material having good scuffing resistance and good devitrifying resistant property and ensuring reduced coating trouble and reduced slip in conveyance and to prepare a coating fluid comprising an O/W type dispersion of a lubricant and a binder dissolved in an organic solvent with superior stability.

The silver halide photographic sensitive material contains lubricant particles and a binder in the top layer on one side opposite to the side with a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer by way of the substrate. The average particle diameter of the lubricant particles is ≥3 times of the thickness of the top layer.
