Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a method for producing a planographic printing plate precursor for forming a planographic printing plate having improved planographic printing characteristics by a silver complex salt diffusion transfer method.
CONSTITUTION: This process for producing the planographic printing plate precursor includes a stage for coating one side of a base with a photosensitive layer contg. silver halide emulsions, a surface layer contg. physical development nuclei and, if desired, a hydrophilic layer having a water permeable relation with the photosensitive layer and the hydrophilic surface layer. At least one layers on the base are coated with a coating soln. contg. a hydrophilic colloid at a concn. of at least 7wt.%.
