Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simulation method and program for simulating the behavior of a mechanism of concern along a time axis by use of a hybrid model.
SOLUTION: Hybrid model description data are analyzed to extract descriptions about the switching of continuous system equation due to state transition and the descriptions of continuous system equation appearing in the description data. Consequently, a table which expresses the relationship between the conditions requiring the switch of the continuous system equation and the continuous system equation of concern is created. Also, an expression of internal data for the continuous system equation is created. The table is referred to with the occurrence of events and the continuous system equation is switched to a more effective one according to the conditions. The expression of the internal data corresponding to the new continuous system equation is used to solve the continuous system equation through numerical integration along the time axis and output data showing the behavior of the mechanism.
