PURPOSE: To enable the efficient simulation of a data driving computer with a von Neuman computer.
CONSTITUTION: A target program 14 is converted to a machine instruction sequence for the von Neuman computer and divided into a module group to be simulated at a high speed and a module group for requiring precise simulation by a module dividing mechanism 12. A data depending relation analyzing mechanism 16 performs dependency analysis concerning the module group converted to the machine instruction sequence to be executed, a static scheduling mechanism 18 performs static register allocation and further, a machine instruction converting mechanism 20 converts the machine instruction to a von Neuman computer machine instruction sequence to be directly executed on the von Neuman computer. A simulation executing mechanism 22 controls whether the von Neuman computer instruction sequence or the target computer machine instruction sequence is executed and simulates the instruction sequence.
