To provide the subject spindle driving unit simplified in its mounting on a spinning machine frame similarly to the case with conventional spindles and designed to suppress troubles such as a disconnection of wire(s) connecting a motor and a control section to each other as well.
This spindle driving unit 1 has a bolster 2, a spindle 3 rotatably supported on the bolster 2, a motor 4 for driving the spindle 3, a control section 5 for the drive control on the motor 4, and a rotational speed monitor 6 for the spindle 3; wherein the motor 4, the control section 5 and the monitor 6 are installed inside a single housing 7; the rotator 13 of the motor 4 is fixed to the spindle 3 rotatably as a unit, and a stator 14 is fixed to the housing 7 at a position against the rotator 13; a driver board 15 provided with a drive circuit is set up on the rear side inside the housing 7, while a CPU board 16 provided with a CPU on the front side; and the control section 5 is made up of the driver board 15 and the CPU board 16.
