Title:
SKID-PROOF SHOE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH10229904
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain a homogeneous skid-proof effect in every direction by installing in rows a number of circular dents on the outsole.

On the outsole of a shoe 3, prevention of slipping is attempted by installing in rows a number of circular dents 1; that is, when snowing, even if the outsole 3 is pushed down onto the road surface, the force is not applied within the circular dents 1 resulting in a small difference in grade between the loading planes, which prevents from skipping. Further, when walking, as a force works in almost perpendicular direction against the inside wall of the dents 1, a distortion is generated in the dents 1: that is, as the compressive force and pulling force in this direction are alternatively actuated, these forces act as a gripping force for a difference in grade; thereby, slipping is prevented. In this instance, as the dents 1 are circular, a uniform effect is demonstrated in every direction and a preventive force from slipping in the two dimensional directions can be obtained while walking in the shoe.
