To obtain a skin bleaching lotion, such as a cosmetic or a medicine for external use, which inhibits the generation of melamine, is useful for preventing and improving pigmentation, liver spots, freckles, and the like, on skins after burnt with sunlight, and has an excellent beautifully whitening effect, by adding the juice of tomato as an active ingredient.
This skin bleaching lotion contains a tomato juice as an active ingredient. The preparation for external use may preferably further be compounded with one or more ingredients selected from the group consisting of a beautifully whitening agent (for example, glabridin or a placenta extract), an active oxygen-removing agent (for example, superoxide dismutase, the extract of Scutellaria root), an antioxidant (for example, a vitamin A compound or its derivative), an anti-inflammatory agent (for example, glycyrrhetinic acid or its derivative, or the extract of Angelica keiskei), and a UV light absorbent (for example, para-aminobenzoic acid). The content of the tomato extract is preferably 0.00005-5 wt.% as a solid content.
