To provide a skin cleansing agent having excellent skin cleansing effect to enable the efficient removal of cosmetics and secreted materials in the pores and wrinkles to clean the skin.
Skin cleansing effect superior to conventional technique can be attained by utilizing normal stress effect to a skin cleansing method. The skin cleansing cosmetic for the cleansing method is a liquid composition produced by compounding water, a polymer having stringiness and a surfactant and/or a liquid oil. When 300 mL of the liquid composition is poured into a 500 mL beaker, a rod having a diameter of 10 mm is dipped into the liquid composition to the depth of 3 cm and the rod is rotated at a speed of 1,500 rpm, the liquid level of the liquid composition near the stirring rod is raised by ≥1 cm compared with the state free from rotation of the rod.
