Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a slag for roadbed sub-base material comprising a cooled mixture of a desulfurized slag which occurs, when blast furnace iron after desilication treatment is desulfurized by a prescribed method, with a specific slag, thus causing no adverse effect on the environment because the elution of Na is suppressed.
SOLUTION: A desulfurized slag occurring, when blast furnace iron is desiliconized and desulfurized by mixing it with soda ash, is mixed with molten desiliconized slag occurring at desiliconization. This slag is produced by adding soda ash to the blast furnace iron, which is transferred into a vessel for conveying the molten iron, to effect desulfurization, and allowing the desulfurized slag occurring in the desulfurization treatment to remain in the vessel and to discharge only molten iron, then transferring a new blast furnace iron after desilication and the desilicated slag occurring in the desilication treatment into the blast furnace iron-conveying vessel to mix the desulfurized slag with the desilicated slag, then discharging the mixed slag from the conveying vessel, followed by cooling.
