Title:
SLIDE BEARING GENERATING REDUCED HEAT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5517723
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a bearing generating reduced heat by providing an engraved groove sucking open air on an inner peripheral surface of a bearing cylinder so as to intersect with a circumferencial groove thereon. CONSTITUTION:An oil feeding port 2, penetrating a slide bearing cylinder 1 at an approximately central position longitudinally, is provided and a circumferencial groove 3 having a minute depth, beginning from an opening portion 2' of the oil feeding port 2 at the inner peripheral surface of the slide bearing cylinder 1 and ending at a terminal portion 3' terminating just before the opening portion 2', is provided on the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder, while a groove 4 for sucking open air, having substantially the same depth as that of the groove 3, is engraved on the inner peripheral surface 1' of the cylinder from side edges of the bearing cylinder 1 toward the circumferencial groove 3 so as to intersect with the groove 3. According to this constitution, when a shaft 5 is rotated, air sucked through the open air sucking groove 4 is introduced into an oil cap 6 as air bubbles and guided to almost whole surface of the slide bearing 1. Consequently, heat generation in the slide bearing is reduced and, at the same time, consumption of lubricant may be decreased.
