Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a slide-pin contact having stable internal contact resistance by providing a specific number or more of microprojections on the inner surface of the contact cylinder portion of its contact main body.
CONSTITUTION: This slide-pin contact 1 comprises a contact main body 10 consisting of a fixed terminal portion 11 and a contact cylinder portion 12; a pin contact 20 consisting of a contact portion 21 and a contact cylinder portion 22; and a coil spring 30. With the coil spring 30 compressed and engaged between the bottom 14 of the hollow part 13 of the contact cylinder portion 12 and the bottom 24 of the hollow part 23 of the contact cylinder portion 22, the contact cylinder portion 22 and the coil spring 30 are held within the hollow part 13 of the contact cylinder portion 12. Three or more microprojections 16 are formed on the inner peripheral surface of the contact cylinder portion 12 of the fixed terminal portion 11. Therefore, the gap G between the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder portion 22 and the inner peripheral surface of the contact cylinder portion 12 is completely held constant, thus eliminating a play between them and stabilizing internal contact resistance of the contact.
