Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute calculation, foreign currency exchange, and currency exchange with simplicity and satisfactory operability by executing multiplication and division by allowing the scale of a first logarithmic scale displayed on a substrate and the scale of a second logarithmic scale displayed on a belt to correspond to each other.
SOLUTION: The first logarithmic scale 6 graduating the natural number less than 10 and a world map 24 are displayed on a card-like substrate 2, and the substrate 2 is rotatably provided with a belt consisting of a transparent and endless film by enveloping in a peripheral direction. Then the belt 3 displays the second logarithmic scale 10 gradurating numeral figures from 1 to 10 and a second scale 35 expressing time 1 to 24. Multiplication and division are simply and speedily executed based on the coincidence of the first and second logarithmic scales 6 and 10 by allowing the scale of the first logarithmic scale displayed on the substrate 2 and the scale of the second logarithmic scale displayed on the belt 3 to correspond to each other by this constitution. In addition, time is simply exchanged with foreign time.
