PURPOSE: To provide the titled packing exerting low frictional force, having excellent sealability of gas and fluid and high durability and applicable to a rotational or reciprocal sliding part of a machine, by immersing a packing raw material in a specific liquid rubber suspension and forming and vulcanizing the product.

CONSTITUTION: A preformed sliding packing raw material mode of a synthetic rubber is immersed in a liquid rubber suspension produced by suspending tetrafluoroethylene resin powder in a liquid rubber to apply the liquid rubber uniformly to the whole surface of the packing raw material, and the product is formed and vulcanized in a mold to obtain the objective packing. The packing is placed on the inner surface of a hole 2 and a rotational or reciprocal sliding shaft 5 is inserted into the hole 2 to effect the sealing of gas or fluid.
