Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the wear and seizing resistances of sliding parts such as a rotary shaft and a roller by forming composite layers each contg. dispersed particles deposited in the Ni or Ni alloy matrix layer on the sliding parts by plating. CONSTITUTION:A plating bath for uniformly depositing innumerable dispersed particles 26 in an Ni or Ni-P alloy matrix layer 25 formed by plating is prepd. Sliding parts 24 such as a rotary shaft, a roller, a blade and a bearing boss are immersed in the plating bath to form composite layers 23 by plating. The layers 23 are formed on one or both of the confronting sliding surfaces of the confronting sliding parts 24.
