To provide a sludge solubilization apparatus which can solubilize sludge with high efficiency and prevent the sludge from precipitating in the apparatus and piping.
The sludge solubilization apparatus comprises a cavitation generator 11 that generates cavitation in sewage containing sludge to decompose and solubilize the sludge, and a sludge supply pump 12 that is disposed downstream of a solubilization tank of the cavitation generator 11 for sucking out the sewage containing the sludge from the solubilization tank 15 of the cavitation generator. The pressure of the inside of the solubilization tank 15 is reduced to a negative pressure by the sludge supply pump 12. Transducers 29 for generating ultrasonic waves in the solubilization tank 15 are installed.
