PURPOSE: The titled compsn. with excellent dispersion stability and standing stability, prepd. by mixing a polyether polyol compd. a sulfonated cyclic compd., coal powder and water.
CONSTITUTION: About 0.001W2wt% polyether polyol compd. prepd. by adding 4W800mol of ethylene oxide (and/or propylene oxide) to an active hydrogen- contg. compd. (e.g., an alcohol, a hydroxy group-contg. arom. compd. or an amino compd.), esterified, phosphated or crosslinked product thereof etc., about 0.01W5wt% sulfonated naphthalene or creosote oil (or a salt or addition condensation product with aliph. aldehyde), or a condensation product between sulfonate group-contg. aminotriazine and aliph aldehyde or its salt, about 13W 43wt% water and about 50W80wt% coal powder of which about 70W80% pass a 200 mesh screen, are compounded.
