PURPOSE: To obtain a slurry paint compsn. having excellent coatability, appearance after finishing and storage stability, containing a hydrophobic polyester resin, a water-soluble polyester resin and a crosslinking agent in a specified form.
CONSTITUTION: A slurry paint contains component A which is a hydrophobic polyester resin which is solid at room temp. and has a softening point of 20W150°C, a hydroxyl value of 50W300 and a number-average MW of 1,000W100,000; component B which is a water-soluble polyester resin contg. 10W40wt% C8WC30 alkyl groups on its side chains and having a number-average MW of 500W100,000, a hydroxyl value of 50W300 and an acid value of 10W100 before neutralization; and component C which is at least one crosslinking agent selected from among aminoplast resins and blocked isocyanates in a weight ratio of A/B of 10/90W90/10 and (A+B)/C of 60/40W95/5, wherein a true sphere- form solid resin having 50% average particle size of 0.5W5μ, mainly composed of component A is dispersed in water in the form of a slurry and at least part of the water-soluble component is dissolved or emulsitied in water.
