PURPOSE: To always performs reception with high efficiency by erecting a planar antenna dedicated for reception so as to be almost at right angles for the upper surface of a desk when radio equipment is placed on the desk with the back surface on a downward side.
CONSTITUTION: The planar antenna 4 is composed of a plate antenna part consisting of two conductor plates 11 and a dielectric 15, a reception antenna terminal 18, a coaxial cable 12 connecting the feed points of the plate antenna part, and a flexible conductor 14 which shares the ground for a radio circuit part with the ground for the plate antenna part. Those components are fixed on an arm 16, and the planar antenna 4 is composed in such a way that it can be erected around a shaft 13 for opening/closing as a center axis, or it can be housed in a recessed part on the back plane of a radio case by laying. Also, the planar antenna 4 is provided with a lock mechanism, and it is housed in the recessed part of a main body 1 when speech is performed by erecting the radio equipment.
