PURPOSE: To provide a small DC motor wherein it lowers the cost of a bearing part and it stabilizes and enhances the life of the bearing part in a disk driving spindle motor for, e.g. a floppy disk apparatus.
CONSTITUTION: A V-shaped recessed part is formed in an edge on the bearing side of a shaft 1 which is slid and moved at the inner circumference of a sleeve metal 14, the V-shaped recessed part is provided with a ball 10 made of high- carbon chromium bearing steel or stainless steel, and a pivot bearing structure is constituted of the ball 10. Thereby, a ball bearing is not required, the bonding process of a ball bearing is eliminated, the component cost of a bearing part is reduced, the number of assembly processes can be reduced, and a low cost is achieved. In addition, since an adhesive is eliminated from the bearing part, it is eliminated that the adhesive flows to the sleeve metal 14 and that the life of the bearing is worsened. As a result, it is possible to realize an excellent small-sized DC motor in which the life of the bearing is stabilized and enhanced.
