Title:
SMALL-SIZED XENON ARC LAMP INSTALLED ON COLUMN VIA CATHODE SLOT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3672535
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a xenon lamp made of ceramic at a low cost.
SOLUTION: This arc lamp is constituted by providing a cathode supporting column wherein a cathode is installed on a slot at an end part. Thus, stress by heat is symmetrically applied to an assembly during actuation and discrepancy of a tip of the arc from a center of an anode is substantially dissolved. A finished product comprises nine components. The cathode supporting column is integrally brazed in a single process. The generated article by the brazing process of the column and a window flange and a sapphire window are integrally brazed in an installing cathode brazing process. A tube member made of a copper tube for filling, a Kovar sleeve, a ceramic reflector body, a flange for the anode, and the anode made of tungsten are integrally brazed in a body brazing process. The generated articles by the installation cathode brazing process and the body brazing process are integrally welded by a tungsten inert gas.
