To provide a smoke proofing wall which shows high eye-catching effects even if there is smoke in a room.

The smoke proofing wall 1 is equipped with a light source device 3 with a light source part 7 outputting light in one direction and a hanging wall part 5 which is a translucent plate and has an upper end surface 4 facing the light source part 7 of the light source device 3. The light source device 3 is equipped with a long housing 6 constituted of an aluminum extruded material, the light source part 7 mounted inside the housing 6, and a lighting circuit for the light source part 7 which is not shown in the figures. The housing 6 is fixed on a ceiling surface 8 by a means such as by securing with screws. The light source part 7 is fluorescent strip lamp placed continuously in parallel with the ceiling surface 8. An opening part 2 where the light output from the light source part 7 passes is provided on the surface of the housing 6 opposing to the floor surface 9.
