Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a non-hydrous property and sebum sticking preventive power by removing a hard polymer from the molding of a polymer blend formed by impregnating a monomer soln. in a polymerized soft material essentially consisting of >=1 kinds selected from specific alkoxyalkyl acrylate and fluoroalkyl acrylate. CONSTITUTION:The monomer soln. consisting of a monomer which imparts the hard polymer, radical polymn. initiator, chain-transfer agent and poln. inhibitor is impregnated in the soft material obtd. by polymerizing >=1 kinds selected from the alkoxyalkyl acrylate expressed by formula I and the fluoroalkyl acrylate expressed by formula II as the essential components and the monomer to impart the hard polymer is polymerized to yield the polymer blend consisting of the soft material and the hard polymer. The polymer blend is machined to the shape of a lens for eyes and the hard polymer which is not solidified in the soft material is removed from the molding obtd. in such a manner. The substantially nonhydrous property is thereby obtd. and the sebum sticking preventive power is obtd. in the stock itself.
