To obtain solar battery sealing material, the main component of which is ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer with high volume resistivity.
In this solar battery sealing material, 1,1-bis(t-butylperoxy)-3,3,5- trimethylcyclohexane as organic peroxide, wherein half-life at 140°C is at most 30 minutes, and triallylisocyanurate(TAIC) as crosslinking auxiliary agent are added in ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, wherein the content of vinyl acetate is 26-30 wt.%, and heating and crosslinking are performed. The volume resistivity, after crosslinked, is at least 3.0×1015 Ωcm. Insulating property of a solar battery module is improved in the case that the sealing material is used as a thin layer, so that leakage current from a solar battery is restrained effectively.
