Abstract:
A box with a heat-transmitting front window and heat-reflecting rear wall contains a meandering steel water-pipe fastened behind, and possibly supporting, a heat-absorbing metal plate. The fasteners consist of heat-conducting metal clips riveted to the plate (1), to which they present a flat surface (6), and wrapped round the water pipe (2). Manufacture would involve placing the clips (not yet bent for the pipe) in array on the plate and burring over all the projecting ends (7) in one press operation, then placing the meandering pipe in position and closing all the clips (8) in a second press, or perhaps press-tool, operation.
