Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a safe laser oscillator which can prevent unprepared emission of laser light caused by the malfunction, etc., of an internal shutter.
CONSTITUTION: An internal shutter 5 can stop laser oscillation by intercepting the optical path 12 of the laser. A light emitting and receiving elements 9 and 10 are optical sensors for detecting the malfunction of the shutter 5. A laser power source 8 can stop the laser oscillation by forcibly suppressing the input current of a light source 4 for excitation to a level lower than a threshold for laser oscillation upon receiving a signal detecting the malfunction of the shutter 5.
