To provide a solid polymer fuel battery possessing a simple structure capable of switching an electronic or an electric device.
The solid polymer fuel battery 10 is provided with a fuel battery cell 11 having a solid polymer electrolyte membrane 16, an anode 14, and a cathode 15, a gas-liquid separating membrane 13, and a fuel supplying part 12 arranged on an anode 14 side of the fuel battery cell 11 through the gas-liquid separating membrane 13. The anode 14 and the cathode 15 are mounted on one side and the other side of the solid polymer electrolyte membrane 16, respectively, and gaseous state fuel is supplied to the anode 14 from the fuel supplying part 12 through the gas-liquid separating membrane 13. Further, the solid polymer fuel battery 10 has a switching means which can switch between a closed circuit state and an open circuit state by a means in which at least either the anode 14 or the cathode 15 takes a contact state or a non-contact state to the solid polymer electrolyte membrane 16.
