Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid polymer fuel cell system and its operating method which can avoid pressure fluctuation of cooling water path, make longer lasting ion exchange resin used for water quality maintenance of cooling water, and reduce an auxiliary power consumption with a low cost.
SOLUTION: The system comprises a solid polymer fuel cell 11, a cooling water tank 12, a cooling water path 13, a cooling water pump 14, a heat exchanger 15, a fuel side condenser 16 and an air side condenser 17 which condense moisture contained by cooling exhausted fuel gas and exhausted oxidant gas exhausted from the fuel cell 11, a condensed water tank 18 to store water condensed at the fuel side condenser 16 and the air side condenser 17, a water supply path 20 provided with a water supply pump 19 to send condensed water to the cooling water tank 12, and a water exhaust path 21 exhausted from the cooling water tank 12.
