Abstract:

To provide a solvent vapor evacuation system which is applicable to a coating device for applying a coating material containing a volatile solvent and so designed as to increase the efficiency of an exhaust gas combustion device under the system by efficiently recovering the volatilized solvent and further, can ameliorate peripheral environments.

This solvent vapor evacuation system comprises a coating part which applies by a roll a coating material containing the volatile solvent to a continuous length base material, a conveyance part which conveys the continuous length base material coated by the coating part, a coating device equipped with an oven for drying the continuous length base material conveyed by the conveyance part, a suction duct which sucks the volatile component of the volatile solvent in the coating part, a partitioning wall part surrounding the area at least from the coating part to an oven entrance, and an exhaust duct which is connected with the oven and has the suction duct connected with the exhaust duct. In addition, the volatile component of the volatile solvent in the coating part and the conveyance part is allowed to flow into the exhaust duct by the convection of air inside the partitioning wall part through the suction duct or directly.
