PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for shaping, sorting, binding and collecting vegetables having long stems, e.g. asparagus.

CONSTITUTION: This sorter for vegetables having long stems are composed of a shaping device 10 for shaping the vegetables having long stems into definite shape while carrying the vegetables by an aligning conveyer, a judging device 12 for judging the grade by measuring the size, etc., of the vegetables having long stems while carrying the vegetables, a distributing, device 14 for distributing definite amount of vegetable for every grade to weighing hoppers formed according to grades and a release device 16 for weighing definite amounts of vegetables collected in weighing hoppers and releasing these vegetables.
