Abstract:

A device for damping noise which penetrates into the interior of buildings from outside through opened, partially opened or closed windows is proposed. For this purpose, a shaped part of suitable transparent or translucent and essentially noise-damping material is attached at a specified distance in front of the window. The part may be provided on the bottom and/or the top with a covering panel of the same material. The dimensions of the device according to the invention are preferably larger than the dimensions of the associated window.
