To provide a sub cone as means for enhancing high-range reproduction capability that is frequently used for a full-range type speaker to be mounted in a vehicle or applied to AV and can be prevented from being damaged during a speaker installing work because a worker touches or grasps the speaker, thereby preventing occurrence of defect of the speaker.
A sub cone comprises a center dome portion and an outer peripheral dome portion provided on the outer periphery of the center dome portion. A voice coil bobbin is joined to the neighborhood of the outer periphery of the center dome portion, and a diaphragm is joined to the outer periphery of the outer peripheral dome portion. Accordingly, the outer periphery of the sub cone is not kept under a free state, but fixedly joined to the diaphragm, whereby deformation and damage of the sub cone can be prevented.
