Abstract:

To provide a specimen retrieval device for use in minimally invasive surgical procedures.

A specimen retrieval bag includes a closed portion and an open portion. A conduit extends within the specimen retrieval bag and extends along at least a portion of the length thereof to evacuate air from a portion of the retrieval bag. The conduit extends from adjacent the open portion to adjacent the closed portion.
