To provide a sponge cleaner which is useful as a washing tool or a wax coating tool for a bathtub, a sink, and a car and as a tool for picking up dust attached to a fabric structure such as clothes, a sofa, a carpet, or a car seat and dust such as fallen hairs of pets.

The sponge cleaner is made of a cut article of a polyurethane foam with a slidably scrubbing surface 10 formed of disposing recesses 11 and tops 12 alternately in a houndstooth check manner. The recesses are formed into a cone shape in every grid, and the surface of tops is formed into a flat surface or a curved surface of a gradual arc.
