To provide sportswear by which not only a function of protection against shock but also a function of preventing sports disorders can be obtained by only wearing it and significant reduction in incidence of sports disorders can be expected.

The piece of sportswear is composed of a brief body 1 for covering at least the crotch, hips and buttocks of a wearer and thigh portions 2 for covering the wearer's thighs. Parts of the brief body 1 covering the buttocks or hips are provided with protection pads 3 against shock for absorbing shock to the wearer's buttocks or hips. Anti-stretching lines 4 which are not stretchy or hardly stretch in the direction of their length are formed in at least the thigh portions 2. The anti-stretching lines 4 are formed in directions in such a way that effects similar to effects of taping the human body for limiting motion of muscles, joints and the like in order to prevent contusion, bruise, pulled muscle, sprain, bone fracture and the like can be achieved.
