Abstract:
PURPOSE: To ensure post-processing stability without causing thermal fog during processing or the reduction of photographic sensitivity, max. density or contrast to a heat developable photographic material.
CONSTITUTION: A precursor of an azlactone functional stabilizer represented by formula I and/or 2-alkenylazlactone represented by formula II and/or azlactcne represented by formula III is incorporated into a photographic emulsion layer or an emulsion layer. In the formulae I-III, each of R1-R8 is H or alkyl and (n) is 0 or 1. Silver halide in the layer is stabilized and post-processing stability is ensured without causing desensitization or fog.
