Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the deterioration phenomenon of the superconductive property effectively by making into a structure to prevent to expose the oxide superconductive layer in the atmosphere, as well as making the structure strong to a distortion such as a bending and a compression, generating hardly the deterioration of the superconductive property, so as to give an excellent mechanical stability, and handling easily.
CONSTITUTION: A base material 2, an intermediate layer 3 formed on the base material 2, an oxide superconducting layer 4 formed on the intermediate layer 3, and a stabilized coverage layer 5 to cover the oxide superconducting layer 4 which consists of a precious metal such as silver or a silver alloy, or its alloy, are provided. The thickness of the stabilized coverage layer 5 is made 2μm or more. Consequently, an oxide superconductor having a high mechanical stability, a high chemical stability, a high magnetic stability, and a high stability of superconductivity, can be obtained.
