To increase the joining strengths of lead terminals and, in addition, to prevent the cracking of a capacitor element.
A stacked ceramic capacitor 1 is constituted by forming an aggregate 9 by laminating a plurality of ceramic capacitor elements each carrying a pair of terminal electrodes 4 and 4 formed on its facing end faces upon another and joining pairs of lead terminals 5 and 5 which electrically connect the terminal electrodes 4 and 4 to each other and can be joined to an external circuit board to the aggregate 9 with a joining material 6, such as the solder, etc. Each lead terminal 5 has a folded section between its joining sections 5c and 5a for the element 2 and external circuit board. In addition, a plated layer which has high wettability to the joining material 6 is formed on the surface of the terminal 5 except the internal surfaces on both sides of a clearance 5d formed of the folded section.
