Abstract:
To avoid breakage of resonator due to generation of back fire on an intake manifold integrally constituting a surge tank and the resonator.
An engine ECU executes a program including a step S200 to output a control signal to close an opening and closing valve to an actuator to actuate the opening and closing valve to switch the surge tank and the resonator into a communicated state and a non-communicated state when a starter switch to start the engine is switched on (YES at S100) and a step S400 to output a control signal to open the opening and closing valve to the actuator to actuate the opening and closing valve when the engine is started (YES at S300).
