To provide a new job processing system while utilizing a conventional job processing system by automatically controlling the transition to the state of a certain arrival target when that state is designated.
Concerning the job processing system, a state transition control means 10 manages the state of a controlled system device 12 corresponding to the transition of a state and controls the state transition. Input data are stored and the state of the arrival target is stored. While referring to a state definition table 15, the current state of a job processing program is identified. While referring to a state transition table 14, the route of the transition from the current state to the state of the arrival target is searched. Concerning the first transition of the route of transition, correspondent operation is acquired while referring to the state transition table 14, and the state is transited by applying this operation to the job processing program while using the input data. Based on the route of transition, these steps are repeated until reaching the state of the arrival target. As a result of transition, output data to be outputted by the job processing program are stored.
