To carry out a high-speed drying by making an unsaturated condition by condensation in a sterilizer body.
An object to be sterilized is set in a sterilizer body 1, steam is generated by a sterilizing heater 13 to exhaust the air inside of the sterilizer body 1 to the outside together with the steam, thereafter, sterilization is carried out for a determined time and after sterilization, the water 11 for generating steam is discharged outside. Thereafter, the inside of the sterilizer body 1, kept under a sealed condition, is heated by a drying heater 9 to evaporate water from the object to be sterilized. The evaporated water is condensed by a cooling means 31 to make an unsaturated condition in the sterilizer body 1 for drying the object to be sterilized.
