Abstract:
To provide a high-performance steam turbine in which a pressure loss in a downward discharging exhaust-hood is reduced.
In the steam turbine, annular diffusers 21a, 21b are provided to the downstream of the final stage in the inside of a low-pressure exhaust hood made of internal casings 7, 8, and external casings 1, 2, and tip-flow guides 9, 10 are provided which demarcates the periphery of the diffusers. The tip-flow guides are formed asymmetrical in the upper-half and the lower half. The axial length of the tip-flow guide upper-half 9 is larger than that of the tip-flow guide lower-half 10.
