Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the multi-directional connection of a beam by projecting a small L-shaped lip piece intersecting a web on an outer corner part of an L-shaped body of a steel column of flat section, and providing a lip piece intersecting the web on a tip of the L-shaped body.
SOLUTION: A small L-shaped lip piece comprising orthogonal webs 2a, 2b is projected in an orthogonal manner with webs 1a, 1b on an outer corner part of an L-shaped body comprising the webs 1a, 1b of a steel column A which are orthogonal with each other. Lip pieces 3a, 3b orthogonal to the webs 1a, 1b are projected on each tip of the L-shaped body. In joining a steel beam B, a joining plate 4 is arranged for example across the web 2a and the web of the beam B, and fixed by bolts and nuts. The lip pieces 3a, 3b are cut to be slightly larger than the original dimension of the beam B, a joining plate 6 is arranged across the webs 1a, 1b and the web of the beam B, and fixed by bolts and nuts. The beam can be joined in three directions or in four directions, and sufficient strength can be secured.
