To provide an in-plane bent product having a relatively large diameter ratio without causing any crack or the like at an outside diameter side end portion.
After removing burrs, fracture cross sections and work-hardened layers introduced by the shearing work by cutting or grinding a sheared end face of a steel strip sheared to the predetermined width, the steel strip is subjected to the in-plane bending. Since the fracture cross section and burrs of the sheared end face or the work-hardened layer in a vicinity of the sheared end face are moved, and the entire steel strip is homogenized, the total elongation can be ensured without any stress concentration, and generation of cracks easily generated in the end portion on the outside diameter side or wrinkles on the inside diameter side of the in-plane bent product can be prevented.
