Title:
STEEL FOR PORCELAIN ENAMELING EXCELLENT IN BLACK SPECK RESISTANCE AND FISHSCALE RESISTANCE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07179992
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To economically produce a steel for porcelain enameling, excellent in porcelain enameling characteristics such as black speck resistance and fishscale resistance, by using, as a steel for porcelain enameling, a steel into which a specific amount of S is incorporated and in which the amount of solid- solution Ti is reduced.

CONSTITUTION: As the steel for porcelain enameling, a steel of a material consisting of, by weight, <0.O1% C, 0.05-0.5% Mn, 0.001-0.03% P, 0.012-0.05% S, 0.010.05% Cu, 0.005-0.15% Ti, <0.1% sol.Al, 0.005-0.015% N, >0.005-0.05% As, and the balance Fe or further containing 0.0001-0.003% B and satisfying in compositional relation inequalities I, II, is used. In order to improve the wettability of glaze for porcelain enameling, specific amounts of S are added to the steel at the time of firing for porcelain enamel and the amount of solid- solution Ti is reduced, and As in the amount corresponding to the amount of solid-solution Ti is added and incorporated. By this method, the steel for porcelain enameling excellent in black speck resistance, fishscale resistance, etc., can be produced at a low cost by reducing the amount of Ti used.
