Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device capable of enhancing safety during the traveling of a vehicle by limiting course change of the vehicle due to an unintended operation when a driver sneezes.SOLUTION: A steering device 1 for steering wheels 40, 40 according to a rotation operation of a steering wheel 2 of a vehicle comprises: a sound detection device 51 for detecting sneezing sound of a driver; a determination device 6 for determining whether or not the steering wheel 2 has performed a predetermined rotation amount of rotation operation when the sneezing sound was detected by the sound detection device 51; and a steering control device 7 for limiting the steering of the wheels 40, 40 according to the predetermined rotation amount of rotation operation when the determination device 6 has determined that the steering wheel 2 performed the predetermined rotation amount of rotation operation.
