Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly move a cylinder to a turnable backward position in inserting a key.
SOLUTION: A steering locking device comprises a body 12 that can move the cylinder 20 back and forth and store it turnably at the backward position, a detecting part 52 for detecting pressing of the cylinder 20 backward, a control part 54 that performs electronic certification between it and a portable machine 56 in receiving a detection signal from the detecting part 52 and transmits an operation signal to an actuator 26 on confirming the certification, and a locking member 28 that is operated by the actuator 26 and engages with an engaging groove 30 of a rotor 18 to prevent turning of the rotor 18. The steering locking device has key detecting members 60 and 65 that are disposed so as to block at least part of a key hole 14a and are operated by inserting the key into the cylinder 20 to project outside the inner wall of the body 12. The body 12 is provided with a receiving recessed part 67 where the cylinder 20 receives the projections of the key detecting members 60 and 65 at the backward position.
