Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a system designed to detect stem positions in high accuracy even if the traveling conditions such as speed for a reaper are changed.

CONSTITUTION: The objective system has (A) a stem position detective means R to detect such position after stem movement in the lateral width direction of the machine body on contact of a stem with a contact piece 10 which is free to move in said, direction and installed in such a state as to be returningly energetized on the side of stems aligned at specified planting intervals longitudinally for the machine body, (B) a sampling means 100 to sample the information given by the means R at each specified traveling distance or time, and (C) a discriminating means 101 to determine stem position along said direction based on the information from the means 100. The means 101 determines the maximum value among plural number of the information from the means R sampled during the machine body travels at least planting distance as the stem position along the lateral width direction for the machine body.
