Abstract:
To provide a step or tread that varies widely in breadth by making the breadth of the step or tread asymmetrical horizontally, and varying only one side of the breadth.
A plurality of jagged cleats 21a, 21b, which are elongated in advancing direction, and steps or treads that rotate endlessly to convey passengers are provided from one entrance to the other, and the breadth W of each step 2 or tread 2 is constructed of horizontally asymmetrical split steps 21A, 21B, and the horizontally split steps or treads 21A, 21B are joined together to form one step or tread.
