Abstract:
PURPOSE: To visualize a stereoscopic image at an optional visual point without deteriorating sensitivity by photographing at a time all images that are photographed by a group of lenses or pinholes which are arrayed on a single plane and also by each of these lenses or pinholes.
CONSTITUTION: A lens group 2 including the convex lenses 21 to 2n arrayed on a single plane is photographed by a TV camera 7 including a lens 8 and image pickup elements 9, and the focal distance f1 of every lens 2 is shortened. When an object 1 is placed at d1 and d2 which are sufficiently away from the distance f1, the real images 111 to 11n of the object 1 are formed at the points near a focal plane 11 through the lenses 2. Therefore, the real images formed by the lenses 2 are shown on the elements 9 as the images 91 to 9n. Thus the image (TV) signals are obtained and shown on a display device, and the images 91 to 9n are visualized through a lens group arranged in the front of the display device. In such a constitution, a stereoscopic image is reproduced and can be visualized at an optional visual point without deteriorating the sensitivity down to one part in several tens from one part in several owing to no use of a diffuser plate.
