PURPOSE: To accomplish a stereoscopic method capable of maintaining a processing efficiency satisfactorily at all times by counting object point images of a feature point, prior to the correspondence of the object point image in accordance with the counted value.
CONSTITUTION: 1st∼3rd picture setting parts 11, 21 and 31 set pictures 10, 20 and 30 obtained by 1st∼3rd cameras 1, 2 and 3. 1st∼3rd counting parts 12, 22 and 32 count object point images in respective pictures 10, 20 and 30, and output counted values C1, C2 and C3 to a system selecting part 7, which compares the counted values C1, C2 and C3 with a threshold TH set by a threshold setting part 8, selects one out of 1st∼8th system setting parts 71∼78 in accordance with the compared result and activates a correspondence program of the object point image of the prescribed system.
